Our Company History

  • ·    Inspired by the ambition and vision of Madam Khor Chee Lee in the early 1970s, Modern Group of Companies have grown from strength to strength in vehicle knowledge and expertise in after sales services.

  • ·    197X – Start of New Century Pte Ltd in doing tyre retread, aircon installation and battery services.

  • ·    1989 – Fire engulfed New Century Company Pte Ltd’s warehouse, New Century Pte Ltd was renamed to Modern Century Company Pte Ltd which is focusing on tyre retread services.

  • ·    1991 – New setup of Modern Tyres to do import and export of tyres

  • ·    1997 – Renamed of Modern Tyres to Modern Tyres (1997)

  • ·    2005 – Change of legal structure for Modern Tyres (1997) to Modern Tyres (1997) Pte Ltd

  • ·    2005 – New setup of City Tyres Trading in providing PCR tyres and batteries services

  • ·    2013 – New setup of Modern Automotive Services Pte Ltd to facilitate automotive vehicle repair services

  • ·    2016 – Change of legal structure for City Tyres Trading to City Tyres Pte Ltd

  • ·    2016 – New setup of Modern Recovery Services Pte Ltd in focusing on accident / breakdown towing services

  • ·    2020 – Modern Recovery Services Pte Ltd have been merged under Modern Automotive Services Pte Ltd

  • ·    2022 - New Company setup Modern.sg
